Just finished painting the chrome around my grille black to match my car (2000 1.8T black on black), should I go all out and paint the rings? Or should I leave them chrome.

 

since you cant paint chrome (it'll chip) i would leave the rings chrome.

 

Well he already painted the chrome trim. But yes it will chip. Not to bad though. I'm about to repaint mine because after a few months I can see some little chips.. I like the chrome trim painted black, but I would not paint the rings. I like the rings to stand out. I don't want to disguise the fact that I drive an Audi.

 

me too. It looks sweet without the chrome trim, but kinda weird with black rings, IMO.

 

Yep I'll chime in with the previous two peeps... leave the rings. I blacked out the trim, and removed the quattro badge... Now I've just got 4 rings front and rear. Clean.

 

Bentframe did his rings black and left the quattro badge chrome.. look at his pics.. I think he has a gallery not sure

 

I painted the chrome trim, left the rings chrome, and painted in the "quattro" with red to match my pretty paint.
