Default Quick Q regarding ECU code

Hey guys, i'm hopefully gonna purchase a GIAC ecu and was curious about one question. This person selling the unit has a '97 1.8t automatic... he gave his code on his ECU, with the GIAC chip.

now i checked with my car and the codes in my stock ECU is the same as his.

now my question is, whether there will be a problem between his automatic car and my manual car? the codes are identical, so i'm not sure

Thanks everyone

yes - it needs to be reprogrammed for manual with a VAG com.
Other than that it will work fine. Do a search on the VAG com locator
and find someone in your area that would be willing to help you out.
