Be careful. If the oil light comes on again solid you can slowly make it home. Solid light on the audi means low oil pressure. Flashing oil pressure light means 0 pressure. Shut the car down immediately. Either way, I'd drive the car as little as possible until this is sorted out. Otherwise this could turn into a 3000 dollar bill for rebuilding the engine.

 

i had the exact same problem two days ago, i checked the oil level, and it was ok. The light didnt turn on again, but i´m scared has hell, let me know what was your problem.

 

Mine beeped like that after I turned the car off, but only when my ABS controller was bad, after that was fixed I never saw the light again, so I figured it was all an electrical issue

 

I also get the light to come on every so often, mostly as I make a shart right turn. Another sympton I have is my engine will tick loudly when I drive the car hard or drive it on the freeway for a long period of time. I figure that my oil pickup tube is clogged. I plan to open my valve cover and drop the oil pan to see what kind of oil sludge I have. I have previously tried using seafoam, didnt seem to help too much.
