radiator can not hold water
Two weeks ago, I had my radiator flushed and new antifreeze put in. I did this as a maintence on my car. All was good for a week, then I noticed my car needed water. When I put like a half gallon water in, it would be ok, till the next day, and the same occured. Well I was driving home and my car started acting up. The water gauge never read hot. I let the car cool, and tried to put water in it, but on the lower right part of the engine, I saw the water I was putting in, it was coming out around there. Is there a hose near that area that is small and all that water is coming out. Or do I have bigger problems. I had no problems before with the water before the car was taken in for the radiator flush. I was having problems with my engine oil pressure, my oil was full, but at times the oil light would come on, but I think it was the sensor, because, I would stop and look at the engine, and I wasnt losing any oil, or the engine was running ok. Are the two related, or did the car place screw something up with my car. Thanks Virginia
It would help to know what model and engine you are asking about. I would suspect, based on the information you've given, that when the car place did your radiator flush they cracked or dislodged a hose somewhere.
How many miles on your car? Have you had timing belt, waterpump, thermostat done yet? Could be where you are having a problem. Might just need a new coolant temperature sensor.
None of this is related to your oil sensor.
