yes, that could be a possibility, but it could be that there for some reason is no power running to the radio, that could also be the reason.. On my radio (for the brief time i had it in) it would say "LOCK" until i held the FM1/2 and RDS buttons then it would allow me to input the numbers by tapping 1 the value of the first digit.. ie first digit is 4 tap 1 four times.. at no time did my display ever go out.. if you look on the display look to see if you have a little mark in the lower right hand corner, on the plastic of the radio it will say CODE i believe.. and if there is two marks there that means you are locked out for the hour, because you have tried twice..

 

Take it to an Audi dealer. Be a nice guy and they just might help you out for nothing. My dealer helps me with a lot of little stuff for no charge.

squeaky control arms are a common problem. 700 is high but what else can you expect from the dealer.

For the front squeek, it is control arms. Not an Immediate fix.

Shop around for a good shop. I picked up the two upper arms I needed for about 120 dollars. Replacement was another 75 dollars.

 

Hey Redgoat, i see in the lower right hand corner under the actual screen red letters that say CODE but i dont see what your talking about with the marks???

 

if your display is working, and you enter the incorect code, you get 1 little mark there on the screen, do it again to the point where it locks you out, the second mark lights up
