I am trying one more thing before I get new injectors (I do not know how to test them), I put some LUCAS fuel injector cleaner and a full tank of gas then hit the road. It runs great as long as I keep the RPM's above 1000, cruised down the interstate at about 80mph and it ran awesome, got home and let it idle and it started to miss again. I guess I will try and run some more fuel through it tomorrow and see what happens.
Any ideas are welcome.

Thanks again,
RB

Hey, I have some injectors from my car that I will sell to you cheap if you want them. They came out of a perfectly running 99.5 a4 1.8t engine. I'm notbsure if they will
work in your car though. Anyoneknow if they will?

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone that gave possible solutions, it is finally fixed today. Found a one way valve on the back of the intake that had a crack in it, replaced and runs awesome now.

Thanks again,
RB

Was it a one-way valve for vacuum? I was going to suggest the fuel filter

It was a one way valve coming off the back of the intake, not exactly sure what it went to. The car would not idle and was throwing misfire codes on random cylinders. I found the leak by checking all the hoses I could get to and found that one leaking through a crack in the plastic housing, I grabbed it and the whole thing fell apart. Replaced the valve and it runs just fine now. I circled the valve in this pic, it is hard to see but hope it helps.
