Default Realistic Dyno Numbers?

I just had the car on the dyno a couple of weeks ago and I wasn't too impressed with the results. It ran 150.18 Max Power and 183.53 Max Torque. Are these realistic numbers? I thought it would be much higher than this. Everything is bone stock other than an apr chip running a 91 octane program. Let me know. Thanks!

Most likely its right. the numbers you see given by apr and such when you buy the chip are normally power made under the most extreme circumstances. Some of these numbers are made by pushing the turbo way past a safe level(A K03 is only rates for 207 hp. this dosn't mean it can add a total of 207hp it means it can handle a load of 207 including the power from the engine. A.K.A. 207 is the maximum safe hp for a K03), running way to rich, and other means. Sorry to say but a chip really isn't worth it. Get a SFMS for a grand, link it to your laptop and you'll have full control over your engine. Then you can see numbers in teh area of 190hp range.

Take all dyno results with a big dose of salt.

Every dyno will give slightly different readings and certain models give lower readings than others. Also the numbers that are given by the chip manufacturers are crank values and not wheel figures and how they come up with them nobody knows.

I don't know what model dyno you were on but you state you get 150whp on 91 octane on APR stage 1

Well on a Dyno Dynamics I also get a 150whp result but I was running:

Chevron 94 octane gas
APR Stage 1+ 93 octane solution
TT225 injectors
Milltek exhaust

And when I added a DSMIC and turbo inlet pipe I recovered 10whp went up to 160whp

Graphs are here: http://audizine.com/forum/showthread...threadid=98068

So use the results for what they are worth. I personally use them to gauge if the mods I am doing are making a positive improvement in terms of performance by looking at the graphs. The final output numbers I don't spend to much time worry about.
