Default Rear Brakes

I just replaced my rear pads and rotors on my 96a4 FWD and was wondering how to compress the piston in the caliper ,does this unit turn and if yes which way to compress? Also if it does not turn can I simply comress the piston with a C clamp ? Thanks CM

The piston compresses clockwise (IIRC) and you need to push as you turn it to compress it. Open the bleeder before you compress it though, it will make things a lot easier.
