I have a '03 Audi A4 and recently the trunk lid stopped unlocking when I use the door button or the trunk handle. It'll open using the key remote only. Has anyone had a similar problem? I'm trying to avoid taking it to the dealership so I thought I'd ask you guys first. This site's been great for information like that.

probably something jammed or came loose

 

you could always call the parts department of a dealership and find out how much it would cost for a replacement lock first. If its not expensive might as well replace it, but if its too much might as well pop-er-open and take a lookzie and see if its just something easily fixed.

if you just order the part im sure you don't have to take your car in to install it just pick the part up and do it yourself probably pretty self-explanitory.

does the key turn at all? if not probably need to be replaced. if it turns a bit then gets stuck its probably fixable.
