2003 A4 1.8T automatic, I'm currently stuck on removing this engine,

maybe some help, I can't get any access to the converter bolts, anoyone have a repair manual or know how to get to them




background-friends A4 developed sludge problems and low compression, dealer said they would cover it under the warranty but it was all a ploy to get him in the dealer so they could find other problems still estimated at $7000 for replacement engine, getting a used motor once this one is out and replacing it in my garage

Remove the starter.

 

if its covered under warranty it should only be 50$ deductible. and they might tell him other problems but unless he authorized repairs , they cant do them or charge him.
