Hi Folks

I've got a towbar to fit to my b5 Avant but I can't get the bumper off!

I've removed the 4 bolts inside the boot through the floor and removed the rear wheel arch liners, drilled out the rivets and removed the clip from the bottom of the bumper in the wheel arch but I still can't get the bumper past the inner wing to slide it out of the back of the car!

Help!! please

 

most bolts are in the trunk area so carpets out the bumper just pulls away, inner wing mounts are slide on

 

Yeah I did the same thing and still haven't been able to get the damn thing off.

I have been told that you have to fight with it, just like the first time you did the front bumper. You have to push in and up I believe. Let me know if that works.
