Default Removing Rearview Mirror

I was wondering if anyone had instructions on how to remove the autodimming rearview mirror. I read some posts about breaking the windshield trying to take it off and I definitely don't want to do that. Any advice is appreciated.

I wonder how hard it would be to make that mirror work in a B5.

LOL I know Im quick with it lol. And yeah how hard would that be ummm?....Well we dont have any wire hook up so we would have to hardwire it to the sunroof or dome light controls, personally I dont think its that hard I might go for it this spring.

I would think there would be a way to remove it without taking it loose from the windshield. My problem my help, I have a 01 tt, the interior rear view mirrior is loose in the adjustment area. Is there a way to tighten it.
