Yesterday i debadged my car, looks real clean now, i was at walmart getting goo gone and i decided to pick up some new wipers i go the blade section put in model adn it give me the wipers sizes i need, 14 bucks the two, thats fine by me, go home and try to install them, thry dont fit wrong fitting onthe wiper it self, where can i get the wipers i need or am i just slow and didnt take off a proper Part , let me know im gonna return the wipers to walmart if they arent right.

 

never heard offitment problem, how’s the length? , oh and did you but actual wipers or replacement blades?... it almost impossible to install blades it self… don’t even know y they even sell replacement blades…

 

I think SacTown is refering to did you buy actual wiper blades or did you buy whats termed refills? Refills are just the rubber part and these days are almost impossible to get apart and replace. My B5 A4 takes 20 inch blades and I just bought the Triple Edge from Walmart. Look at the hook real close and there will be a tab there that you need to hold while slipping the blade out of the hook. If you have never done these type before it can seem impossible. Just take your time and read the instructions to find where the tab is. Every manufacturer uses a different type anymore. Not like in the mid 60s when I worked Parts and you either had Anco or Trico blades and they were easy to change. Even the refills could be used easily then.
Triple Edge say they are made from real Silicone rubber and have a lifetime guarantee. I know the others haven't been lasting me longer than 8 to 10 months a set.

I just had this problem, you have to go to the dealership and just buy the wiper arm. It clips in unlike any other wiper arm. I actually broke the little clip and had to pay 3 bucks for a new one. The wiper arms and blades should cost you about 14 bucks each. Take care when installing so you don't break that clip like I did. Email me if you have a question. tcuphigam@yahoo.com

 

Ok so i guess i jsut bought the refill for the wipers, ive gotten good at take them on and off, I got michellin Hp 20 and 22 inch the length seems right but i cant get the clips to fit first off the clips on the wipers them selves are different and dont look at all like they are going to fit at all, the OEM wipers ahve a metal clip across the top the replacment blade, but these new ones have plastic and no metal bar that i can see, any one have a dare i say it DIY for this, im kinda angry that this is even hard to do on these cars.

 

i learned this on my ’92 accord many-many years back, use common sense…

wall mart blades will work u don’t have to go to dealer, tried it myself on my 2000 A4 then on 2001 S4, 2003 A4

 

ok ill just try it again, i guess, i posted another thread aboutmy battery , seems like everyone is quoting me about 120 bucks for the thing, thats 300 this week and i havent fixed anything yet [:@]

 

Anyone know ifCanadian Tire carries thewipers for an 02 A4?
