resetting stereo

Default resetting stereo

so this morning when i left for work my battery was dead. it's been replaced, but my stereo lcd says "safe" on it.

does anyone know how to reset it or know where i can find the code?

You should have a stereo info card with your owners manual, It will have instructions and the code.

ok, so i've put the code in and it still won't work. the dealer says it probably got reset at some point.

without taking it into the dealer, is there any way around having them look up the code with audi? suggestions?

i can't take not having a stereo any longer!

given that my dealer wanted $100, i replaced mine w/an aftermarket.

i think that code is hard-wired in. resetting it would still reset it to THE code. you might have the right manual for the wrong car, if you kno what I mean.

you gotta pay teh dealer, man.

then write the code down SOMEWHERE, in case it happens again
