restoring my engine a little.....
alright im getting a little confused, i need to make a list, this is what i have so far.
-oil change
-seafoam the engine - (does this clean the carbon build up in the fuel injectors and throttle body?, if not then techron injector cleaner is on the list)
-replace air filter (and carbon air filter?)
-replace fuel filter
-water pump
-new spark plugs
-new power steering fluid
-new power steering belt (is it worth it?)
-change transmition and differential oils
-change brake fluid
How much do you think this will all cost me? It should be cheap since most of it is just a bunch of filters and liquids, and i should be able to do it all myself, right?

replace all your belts when you do the timing belt. you have to pull 'em all off anyway. and i tell ya ... i was miles away from breakdown and had no clue.
here's basically how i did it ... and fyi ... i work out of a home office so some of this stuff took place over multiple days with my car on jack stands in my garage. however, that was more about being prepared with the right parts than the amount of work. it's not all that bad if you're good with tools and mechanical things. i can take apart and put back together anything ... so proceed at your own risk.
before you do anything ... get yourself the bentley repair manual, it's priceless. you can look, study what you're up against before you do anything.
round one:
replace timing belt, water pump, all drive belts for alternator, power steering, etc. - ecstuning has a kit with everything you need. you should also do the engine snub mount while you're at because you'll already have the radiator support panel in "service lock" position. read bentley ... you'll understand. i didn't know about the snub mount so now i'm going to have to dig in again where i've already been.
cost: oh about $300 or so in parts and i'd guess two full days labor ... at least for me, spread out over a week. the hardest part is figuring it all out. i could do it all now, post-facto, in i'd guess one full day.
round two:
fuel filter
air filter
cabin filter
new plugs
cost: couple of hours and $100 (i can't order parts w/o spending at least $100)
i haven't done transmission, differentials, power steering or brakes yet, but i'm planning on it after i install the new struts/springs and tie rod ends that just arrived today (another $1000 down the drain). and i'm waiting for a desperately needed catback exhaust (i'm leaking worse and worse everyday) which set me back $600.
be prepared to put a few grand into it if you really want to spruce 'er up. i keep telling my wife (and myself) how much i'm saving doing it myself rather than how much i'm spending.
have fun!

You have to make sure it's the right one for your engine ... but they call it an
ECS Ultimate Timing Belt Kit
Sorry for the delayed response, didn't realize you had asked.

Just go to ECS tuning and type in cabin filter in the search..

Open hood,
Remove rubber strip along firewall
Undo small black clip at top center of black plastic cover over battery and remove (the cover)
This exposes cabin filter box in passenger corner.
Remove bolt holding top down exposing filter.
Push clip holding filter down and slide filter up and topward you.
Get new filter and put it in with arrow going the direction of airflow.
Reinstall ans screw down top of filter cover, sllide black plastic cover over battery, and slite plastic center locking clip
Cejnter black rubber weatherstripping on top of firewall ans slide on. This holds the plastic to the firewall.
Done
Total time 10 minutes.
