you should post some pics when you put that on.. anybody ever seen an avant with a roof rack of any sort.? i might get one for my bike... it looks cool on some cars.

 

I have one in my garage that I haven't used in a loooong time, so I'll probably sell that one and get a newer one for my A4. I need something to haul my bikes around. It's kind of a pain to put my back seats forward to have enough room for my bike & gear. BTW, I'll be getting a Yakima system.

I bought a YAkima system for my 1985 Jetta the day I brought it home from the dealer.

I have used the same system over numerous cars since; it is currently on my 2000 Passat and will shortly be on my 2007 Avant.

All you do, if you need to, is replace the "towers" to match your car.

Great system

Either YAkima or Thule.

They work the same way and will outlast you.

 

Just make your own. Mine only cost me likt $20. The box was more though
