Default SAFE?????

Hey ppl. Ive got a 97 A4 , 1.8T Quattro. From my research these come out with 150hp and 155nm of torque. Correct me if im wrong pliz. I wanted to know the safe boost limit for the K03 turbo?? Which are the turbos in these cars from my research. i am boosting between 5 and 6 pounds at the moment says my boost gauge And also will the standard injectors be able to supply enough fuel through out the rev range at any higher boost then standard?? If not is it better getting set of bigger injectors or just installing a fuel pressure regulator. I have a boost controller but thought id ask the experts before installing it. Any help would be appreciated.

PS. THIS IS MY EVERYDAY CAR AND I JUST WANTED A BIT OF FIGURES , NOTHING MAJOR. iN SHORT WILL I BE ABLE TO BOOST AROUND 10 PSI WITH STANDARD EVERYTHING WITHOUT HARMING ANYTHING??

If you chip it i believe You will get the gains you are looking for. Im not sure how much boost you will be pushing, probably in the 10 -14 psi range. someone else on here will know better then me. But I know you will be pushing around 200 hp.

DONT USE THE BOOST CONTROLLER! you will just lean your car out. Buy a reputable chip and it will be approximately 500 bucks. And your stock fueling is fine for that.

chip is very safe, there are just a couple minor things i would look into to keep your turbo happy, new dv, and slightly bigger exhaust, not nessesary right away but be aware that it will help a lot in the long run with turbo longevity.

My GIAC chip peaks at 21 lbs of boost, and holds it until nearly 6k RPMs..... so fun!

dont put a boost controller on without also adding more fuel. if i were you i would sell the boost controller and buy a chip . it'll give you your desired boost while keeping your engine running right. you'll also have to get a new dv cuz the stock dv cant take much more than 8 or so psi of boost
