That is correct, the low oil light is "orange" and the low oil pressure light is "red."

 

Yeah oil level’s fine. Red oil can is the pressure. I talked to the service guy at the dealership and he said have it towed over and as long as I have the service records i’ll be all set. He said I’d only need the records since I owned it though. I told him ive owned the car for two weeks and had the oil changed when I got it. He claims I’m all set then and it should be covered. I assume he’s mistaken but I have all the records nonetheless. He’s going to diagnose the problem tomorrow and get back to me as to whether the technical service bulletin applies.

 

Ya, I would def take inall the records you have regardless of he told you on the phone. Hope it all works out.

 

Turns out it was a sludge issueand there was no engine damage. They're going to do the cleansing process today and tomorrow and audi will pay for it. I didnt even have to show service records.

 

mine is a red flashing light. never even seen an orange oil light, but i have the old display, not the LCD screen
