ive got a few small scratches on my rear bumper and passanger side door.. What is the best thing to take these out. I've heard of rubbing compounds but im not sure how they work or if there are any other better products.

Thanks in advance for your input

not too much experience with detailing (where i'm from you can pay 20 bucks to get 20 mexicans to clean your car in 20 minutes better than you could clean it in a whole day) but here's a link if you don't have access to hard working illegal aliens...

and guys, please don't come to me again with the racial complaints. it's not racist, it's life.

Post your question in the detailing forum. There is a guy who is a detailing sponsor who should be able to help.

Bah, if it is just a couple spots, take it into a shop. Talk to the guy who will do your car... ask him how he does it. You should be after a high-speed cut on the car... a wet cut though, dry cuts are murder. I work at a detail shop, and have learned a lot. My advice for most people, is to never try removing anything by yourself... you can cover it with a good cleaner/sealer, then a good synhetic wax (carnuaba is GARBAGO). But yeah, at the shop I work at, just touching up a door, and rear bumper... would be like 40 - 50 bucks CDN tops. And it would look cherry!

Let me know how you make out!

OH and regarding waxes and stuff... try and find something good... mothers and meguiars is no good. Its hard to put on, and it doesnt last... plus its usually carnuaba... when synthetic is better. Just like synthetic oil is better! -- whats with people wanting natural crap sometimes, and man-made others? :P
