Scratches, Scratches and More Scratches
So I was wondering, what do you guys use for scratch removal? I have very bad deep scratches. It was caused by one of those snow brushes that you use to remove ice from your car. I will post pictures soon so you can take a look. So what do you guys use? My baby looks very bad!!!! I need to shine her up. Thanks.

I had the same problem, sorta. My driveway is really narrow and I got a foot long scratch while backing out one morning. It was deep, kinda like a crazy ex keyed it. I previously had no painting experience so had this guy remove it for me. He overcharged me and took 25 minutes to "fix" it. Watching him do it I realized its much easier than I thought. Now whenever the car gets scratched I do it myself. All you need is 400 grit sandpaper to buff it out, lightly spray some sandable primer, add the color coat and finish off with a few clear coats. All that stuff you can get at an autozone, and if your car is silver duplicolor radiant silver is a perfect match. You could go to a body/paint shop and have it done professionally but you can save alot of money if you DIY.

I really wish I were as handy with the paint and sand paper to do this kind of touch up. Im scared i'll mess things up even more... My front bumper needs touching up and I'd love to do it myself but havent searched for the threads for the DIY. Thats what Sunday afternoons are for, right?!

just look at it this way if you mess it up doin it yourself then just pay to get it fixed then instead of just paying to get it fixed in the first place this way you have a chance to save money in the first place

Find a good detailer in your area and have them quote you price. I just had (2) dime sized door dings and a spot where it looked like someone twisted a wire brush on my paint taken care of for $70 bucks.
