Default Seafoam, Cleaned MAF.....Few Words of Advice.....

whatup y'all-

2001 A4 1.8TQ TIP
BEFORE:
cleaned my MAF this week with a cleaning solution, and then seafoamed my car. previously it was running extremely slow, lacking power. basically my *** was kicked by a minivan or two! also had a check engine light saying my car was running both rich and lean...and i've already changed my 02 sensors and my plugs are fine.

AFTER:
instant gain of like 20hp...literally...unbelievable! car drives faster than when i purchased it 15k ago. check engine light, GONE, and there's virtually no pickup lag when i hit the gas pedal.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND SEAFOAM FOR LAGGERS OR HIGH MIGHLEAGE DRIVERS

ADVICE:
I've been reading about leaving seafoam in the crankcase for no more than 500 miles, preferrably changing out your oil by 200 miles. I wouldn't recommend this for cars with high miles. I kept the seafoam in my crankcase for only 50 miles on the recommendation of two of my mechanics. Here's why:

As soon as the seafoam mixes with the oil, it thins the oil and loosens/frees all kinds of chunky crap in your crankcase. This part is great, but once the stuff gets loose (very soon after mixing) it's all going to reach the oil filter screen and clog the sh*t out of it. you DONT want this to happen! you're probably better off changing the oil after 50 miles rather than 200+ to avoid clogging up the oil pump and decreasing engine oil pressure. we all know low oil pressure is a SERIOUS and EXPENSIVE problem!!!

Just My .02 Cents.

I love that stuff I use it on all my cars. How I use it though is, I put half a bottle in the crank, then run the other half threw the vac line. After im done smoking out the neighborhood i change the oil and take it for a ride.

If a car has alot of miles on it, it may start to leak since the sludge was keeping the seal.

I was nervous the 1st time but now its like changing oil. 1 thing i forgot to mention before is, its a very good idea to replace the plugs after doing this because it may fowl the plugs.

Dump a half can of seafoam where you pour the oil in, either drive your car for about 50 miles or so, or let the car idle for like 10 minutes. Immediately after running the car for the 50 miles or idling for awhile, change the oil with synthetic. Hope this helps.
