Default Need some advice after using seafoam

So long story short the original plan was to seafoam my car before my oil change (1/3 of the seafoam into the gas tank, other third into the engine, and the other third sucked up), the hose i bought was big to fit the intake manifold vaccum slots so i decided not to do that, so all i did was pour about half of the seafoam into the engine bay and a third into my gas tank and i let it idle for a few minutes then proceeded to do a oil change (oil was pretty damn black). My question is, is it ok to drive my car after putting seafoam into my gas tank? i put about a third of the bottle into my tank and it had over half a tank of gas. Im reading mixed results, some people are saying i should have burned the tank of gas before doing an oil change to get the seafoam out of the system. Any input on this?

You did it wrong sorry. You want to dump a full can in a flu lank of gas, so its not diluted. You want to dump sea foam in the oil but drive around for at least 50 miles. My general rule is change the oil after the first tank of gas is done. You don't want to let it sit in the oil for too long but you should drive around with it, oil doenst move all the places it should just idling. You shouldn't need to buy a hose. pop the vacuum hose off at the booster and suck the can up that way.

Yeah i know i did it wrong, i read diffrent DIY's and some people people did 1/3 into the tank 1/3 into the oil 1/3 into the vacuum hoses. I wasn't able to do it correctly because the hose i bought was too big and i was in a position where i couldn't obtain a new hose. And some other people had methods of where you poor it into the oil and let it idle for a few minutes. I wasn't aware there was a specific way to do it. Im hoping someone could answer my question though.

You're saying you put the seafoam in the crankcase, changed the oil and have 1/3 of a can in the gas tank? Just drive the car. You're not going to kill it.

The oily seaform in the gas will reduce it's octane/antiknock number several points. Don't lug the engine or allow the engine to enter detonation until that gas is run out and you replenish it with fresh gas.

You add a can of sea foam in the tank after you fill it up so its diluted. Drive around its not a scary thought.

yea thats what i've always done. before an oil change, i put 1 full can in the gas tank and top it off, then put 1/2 can into the crankcase, and 1/2 into the vacuum line. once you suck the full 1/2 into the vacuum line shut the car off and let it sit for ~5-10 min. start it up and let the smoke show begin. just drive it til it stops smoking. then change your oil once you burn through a tank of gas.

easy peasy.

BINGO

I've met zoo many people that say 1/3 in an empty tank of gas, 1/3 in oil(nevr knew to change it immediately), 1/3 intake. ridiculous
