So last night I got a little inspiration to sell my A4 and buy an S4. The only problem is, is that I have no money because I'm a broke teenage, and if i do in fact sell my car, I have to drive a Ford Taurus until I can buy a new car. My friend just got an Ion Redline and the thing hauls ***, so I really want a quicker car. My question is: should I just get a supercharger for my 2.8 or sell it and get an S4 which will take almost 2 years to save up for? Are superchargers worth the money, please be honest. Thanks guys in advance.

 

no, superchargers for the 2.8 are completely worthless. my buddy had one and it was fast. but my 1.8t chipped could hand with it for the most part.. now he has a stg2+(chipped and full turbo back exhaust)B5 S4 and he keeps up with my BT'd 1.8t some of the time..

basically a chipped S4 will rape a supercharged A4. a chipped S4 will walk a stockSTi easily

 

right but an s4 is alot of money considering i won't buy anything over 100,000 miles on it. So do you think it would be more economical for me to buy the supercharger instead of going through the hassle of selling my car and all the hassle that comes with that and just supercharging it? Or should i wait 2 years, lol, and save money to buy me an S4 which will be 9 years old by then? Sorry about posting in the wrong area btw.

 

seriously. even with the supercharger you can only hang with close to stock s4's. but an s4 is a lot more money than an a4. maintenance, repairs, insurance, gas. if you can just barely afford an s4, you cant afford an s4.

 

So chaos, should i just go with the supercharger? Do you think i'll be able to keep up with a redline, it's got 205 hp with the supercharger, and i have 170ish without one. I definitely won't be able to afford an S4, so I might supercharge my car.

 

and how much am i looking at spending? because if it's 5,000 i'm definitely going to buy an s4 instead.
