You shouldn't have to change the oil again if you put seafoam in the gas tank.

no, the gas does not go in your oil system. also that tick tick noise is normal, apparently its the injectors going. loudest injectors ive ever heard.

Actually seafoam is quite effective in the oil, you just can't drive more than a couple hundred miles with it in there.

I just dropped Seafoam in my gas tank without doing the oil, and i noticed a marked improvement in my throttle response after about 40 miles. I want to do the oil next.

If you wanna know what the absolute best thing to clean out your oil system is, forget the seafoam in the oil thing and drain the entire crank case of oil. Remove the oil filter and install a new one, fill the engine with Marvel mystery oil and run it for about 1 hour. Drain it and change the filter again.
I don't know whats in that s*** but ive never seen a better improvement in idle quality on any engine than doing that.

Just looked it up; i've seen that stuff before.Do you just run 1 gallon? I figured that would be enough if it's only in the engine for about an hour.

i know what i meant was the seafoam wont get into the oil from the gas lines. ive already done the seafoam in the crankcase, vac lines and gas tank it is really the best bang for the buck when it comes to cleaning up the engine.
