Seafoam for Transmission?

Seafoam for Transmission?

I was at Autozone today and found the Seafoam for Transmission treatment. Has anyone used this with success? Is it used just before changing the transmission fluid? Any noticeable improvements?

i never heard of seafoam for the transmission but in our cars i don't really see how you would be able to put it in with out making a mess

i wouldnt even bother, because according to my audi dealer, audi filled the trannys, both of them, for life.

That is correct, Audi fills the tranny for "life". Of course for Audi, life is the end of the warranty (40K miles or 4 years). After that if the transmission breaks, it is your problem.

So in other words... change your fluid every 40000 and you won't have to use the treatment!

i agree nothing is for life , personaly i belive audi just put that in to lower maintenance fee's btw do vw's ahve the same tranny that you dont have to replace the fluid
