I have the pictires and will post them when I upload them to my PC. Yup it is nice to Audi to help with this, expecially when the car is out of warranty.

I'm kind of curious, what was your method? Were you aggresive and angry, or polite? Might be helpful for other people down the road, because i've seen Audi do nothing for worse proplems than this.

I was very angry and frustrated, figured that wont help when talking to them so I was pretty cool when talking to them. The one thing I stressed on, when talking to them, is that I was going to file a complaint with NHTSA and other safety agenies. As soon as I told them that, they were willing to listen and wanted to help out. I ended up filing the complaint anyway with NHTSA. Audi customer relations called the local dealer and set up everything. The dealer called me and set up a time. Also, I stressed on the fact that the great cars they produce. All in all it worked out.

I don't think you will get any help from Audi on this issue. It's happenened many times before though.
is there any way to go about preventing this? Maybe a timelimit to keep them on for? I know his was unavoidable since the car was off and all.

In a strange turn of events, Audi called me today and said that were going to take care of the entire repair (parts and labor included). I dont know if they see anything serious. I will be taking the car in today, will let you know what the technician says.

Congratulations. I wonder if this would lead to a recall of some kind?

wow.. that is all i can really say. I always laughed because my seat heaters sometimes got too hot!! i would joke and be like "feels like my *** is on fire" I guess i will be more cautious.. As for the timer question just shut them off when your bum gets warm enough. Unless your a pizza delivery dude. These seats would beat the crap out of the Dominoes Heatwave bag!!!!
