Seat Install nightmare!
I have a 1998 Audi A4 Quattro. I purchased a set of seats that came out of a 1996 Audi A4. I thought the seats would bolt right in, no problem. They all did except for the driver seat wiring plug. I know anything is possible with patience, money, or skill but can the 1996 driver seat harness plugbe altered to work with the harness plug for my 1998 Audi? Please help. I already put the seat in to find out this was the case so im rollin with no power and seat adjustment isnt possible (uncomfortable). Any help with seat wiring schematics for both cars or anything is greatly appreciated!
How many pins is the connector on your 98? I'm sure there's just a power and ground wire for the drivers control. The other pins on your connector might be for a memory seat. I say (correct me if I'm wrong) if you find a +12v wire and a ground splice into that to get the seat power working again.
How do the seats look? Are you satisfied with them?
I have a bentley manual so I'll go take a look at the wiring diagram...

Do you have a 98 and a half? I might have a plug for you if you could connect the wires from the seat to the new plug. PM me if interested in the plug that is on the seat from a 98 1/2. Just a thought.
The seats are awesome! Good doing business with you. There are 4 pins. They are set up in a similar fashion just diffrent color wires and diffrent shaped pins. After thinking about it, I dont want to mess around with the wiring myself.. I think I just may have some shop do it. I guess if I didn't have to play a guessing game i'd try.
