Hi All
My A4 1995 2.6 is throwing little pieces of sponge out of the air outlet when I turn on the AC at half it's power or more. Should I have the filter changed ?

 

Well, if your talking about the cabin filter then no. The cabin filter is a paper filter(oem at least). Maybe you have mice in your car and they are building a nest -

 

Change the filter and check what is going on in there.

 

the air vents are sealed with flex foam and with age they break down

 

Avant is right about this one..I am getting some flex foam blown out of the vents...I should replace it most propably..however...does that mean that the whole dashboard must be removed ?

haha rats or mice aren't the wors... when i was working at a mustang shop we pulled a racoon from the valey of the V8, he chewed through pretty much all wires and even the fuel line... and no he was not alive when we pulle dhim out... lol

 

A rodent chewed threw the oil sensor in my car.. Put out a false reading cost 100 bucks to get it fixed.. Sounds like Audi BS if you ask me.
