Default sending my ecu to apr...?

I have a 97 1.8t and theres no one within 75 miles that can do the chipping for me becuase it needs to be soldered (at least thats what I was told). When I order the APR chipping from there website, do I choose one or two programs. Do i just want to have it chipped or do I want to have a chipped program and a stock program?

thanks.

also is there anyway that I can take the overnight shipping off and just pay for both labels myself? I could just do it at work and have it cost me nothing instead of paying the 80 dollars.

thanks

Not sure about B5, but on mine, they let me cover shipping both ways because I was in the same type of situation where I could ship via work. Just talk to them. Who are you dealing with at APR? I dealt with Andy and he was awesome about it.
Also, make sure that you are getting in on any specials they have (like Waterfest). You may get extra programs for free with the special.
My choices are 91, 93, and 100. I don't want stock because I'm not fooling any dealer if I pulled my car in to their garage. If I was running stock turbo, then I might get stock program so I could return to stock for any dealer service.
I'd look at 91 and 93, because you never know if you'll need either depending on where you live. I'm in 93 octane country in the east, but if I moved west, I'd be screwed.
Valet isn't an option for me as no valet would ever drive my car. Anti-theft may be a good option if you can get it, as then your car can't be started.... even if the thief had your key. Not a big deal on B6's so much, as they are hard to steal (but easy if they have the friggen key), but I think it may be nice for the B5's as I think they are easier to hot-wire/steal (not sure).
Anyhow, talk to APR; they'll work with you on your shipping preference.

Look at your ECU and if it ends with a P after the numbers i have an APR chipped ecu with a switch for stock and 91...my ECU ends with an N so it didnt work on my car..

Valet mode is where the car has limited power so that no one can hot rod around in your car while you are eatin'.

I heard 30mph, but you could probably have it set to whatever you want... as you were probably implying. Is the b6 really much harder to steal?
