Default Shifting problems

I have a 2000 A4 1.8t quattro I just got with tiptronic shifting. The car bucks slightly when shifting down into 1st in automatic and does it worse when in tiptronic. Any ideas on what this could be or why it's worse in tiptronic than automatic?

Thanks,
Ski

You should never manually shift down to 1st gear in tip mode.
Possibly your motor mounts/snob mount are worn and have play.
Allows the engine to move slightly when the engine torques.
So the bucking you feel is probably the engine movement. My car has it too,
though my new snubmount will arrive monday. So we will see if that cures
it (it has for many).

brrman - I too have an issue in which my car jerks a bit when auto shifts from 2nd to 1st in D mode - the same issue in Tip. It is driving me crazy. I am under warranty. The dealer stated it is an issue with the software. Did your new snub-mounts work? Thanks.
