Default Should I pay for the expensive repairs or just sell the car?

Hey, Ive got a 98 audi a4 2.8 quattro 30 v 5spd. Any ways lately ive been chalked with problems. For w/e ever reasons I would not know. But any ways ill cut too the chase ever since I picked up my car back from the shop the abs, brake, airbag, and check engine light came on and I just dont know why. Also recently 2nd gear wont stay in gear and pop's right back out at me. But im thinking its going too be a crap load of money too repair. Soo the big question here is do you fellow audi owners think its worth all the money too get it fixed or just sell the car? the car has a 150k on it soo its kinda a tough call. Also right now I just cant afford too keep repairing it and youll probally want too smack me for saying this on an audi forum sight but I was thinking about buying an 02 nissan maxima 6spd mainly because there just more reliable im not dissing on audi here either but yea opionions wanted thanks.

If all that was on when you picked it up from the shop, Id take it back and ask them what the hell they did to the car, because none of the lights were on before.

If the synchro is not too much, get it fixed. If you dont do any repairs/maintenance yourself, and you are tight on money, I'd understand if you went with a maxima.
Most of us either DIY everything, and those that dont are rich and dont care about the expense.

You'll be back someday when you can afford it, maxima's are decent, but still not an audi.

This is one of those stories where a guy gets a car for dirt cheap since the previous owner doesn't want to deal with the mess. and then puts like $100 in the car and it runs perfect - $ to $ your going to spend less fixing this one then paying payments

Yeah i have to wonder if all those lights were on when you took it to the shop? What did you ahve done at this shop, and whats their street dred? Was it like Bob's Auto Repair or what?

Just because i hate the stealership's and i love to **** them off, i would take your car into them and have them diagnose all the problems and then after they tell you everything that is wrong with it you just say "okay i need to talk to my parents and ill call you and schedule an appt. to get it all fixed" and run for the hills

Have the codes read and post them. It pays to own a code reader.
