ok usually when i drive the water temp is in between the second and third mark, but twice it has gone up to half way for abit before going back down..is this a sign that my thermostat is going? the car has 63k on it so maybe so.

 

It could be just sticking a little but it’s not that expensive or hard to replace so ya mise well do it before it actually becomes a problem

 

Wait i'm a little confused. You mean the oil temp is going half way? The water temp should always dock at halfway (12 o clock) once the engine is warmed up.

 

no no..the oil temp stays nice and low..the water temp climbed to halfway twice on me..otherwise it sits pretty at bout quarter way

 

no the water tempature should be in the middle like jestnomen said could be a stuck thermostat

 

well s**t....i know someone thats gonna get the timing belt kit soon....
