Default simple simple question :)

Ok, so from my understanding:

2000-01 have a K03s and an AWM engine.
96-99 have a K03 with the AEB engine.

Is this correct, if so can the K03 be installed on a car that had a K03s or does it not fit?

I've got a 2001 A4 1.8T and my turbo is crapping out and I just want a direct replacement and the K03 is very inexpensive on ebay.(don't want another K04).

Thanks,
Mike

Already chipped and running a K04 without fuel upgrades or anything else but a DV.

Replacing the K04 with a K03 and putting it up for sale.
