Does the 2007 A4 come with a Sirius radio receiver built-in and ready to activate, or is an add-on receiver required?

Not positive, but I believe you have to buy the additional module to receive the signal- at least thats the case in my 05.5- according to my local Audi dealer, it'll cost me $750 to get it hooked up- so I think I'll just stick with my window suction cup version! [&:]

 

You were right, I needed a receiver. My local dealer didn't have one and says they are back ordered for the 2007 A4, so I purchased one from an on-line Audi dealer. It turns out that the early 2007s have the old style connectors and the8E0057/035 593 units work in them.

It installed easily and it tunes in the stations fine, but the SAT button doesn't rotate through SR1, SR2 and SR3 like it should. The first time I press SAT, it rotates, but after that I have to hit SAT and then turn the Tune ****. The first tune turntakes me to the next SR_ and after that it rotates through the stations. The browse by Genre doesn't work either. Some of the names are messaed up and ROCK browses through ENTERTAINMENT.

I suspect I have a bad unit. Anyone experienced this?
