I drive a 2001 a4 1.8t quattro w/ 80k miles. I was driving home from school today, and i heard a faint ticking noise. The thing is, is that it only happens when i get above 3000rpm. It also seems to be coming from around the three air conditioning vents in the center console. Again it's not loud, but its bugging me. Also it ticks at a rate of about 2 times per second. Then again it might be nothing.

Well i had the same issue too......it was from the climate control module.... A very irritating sound like TIK TIK TIK.....

Thats all i have...i'm a newbie too
