So the driver and passenger seatbelts in my 1999 a4 work and all, its just when you undo them they are reeaaaally slooooow to retract back. sometimes i even have to grab it and give it a little slack to retract all the way. Is there a way to fix this problem yourself? without ruining the device or do i just have to get new ones from the dealer (is that even possible?)

 

LOL, Mine are the same way. I usually have to pull them, Sometimes they go themselves though.

 

I wonder what causes that, is it using them constantly? Age? cause it happens in certain cars and not in others... unsure how to fix it.. but I'd be curious what someone would do to fix that problem

 

Mine does it too. I pretty much have just gotten in the habit of helping it back in.

 

me too sometimes have to help it back in, It does retract though.
