Tried to search the forums, but couldn't find anything exactly like what I'm experiencing. I noticed today that there was a little bit of white smoke coming from my radiator when i got out of my car from my commute (about 45 minutes). No low coolant level warnings and temp guages are all normal.

 

possibly a slight leak

 

oil leak or coolant leak? Doesn't have a strong smell and is white, almost looks like steam.

 

i hope its steam and not smoke as theres a huge diffrence.Simple thing first was cap put back on properly last time?

 

That would be coolant, especially if it smells kind of sweet.

 

Thanks for the advice. I'll try to get a better look tonight when I get home. Vacation is coming up soon, so I should have time to look into it next week. As for the cap being put back on correctly, it has always been serviced at the dealership, so I can't speak to that right now, but will check it out.

 

Smell is a little sweet, not very strong. Starts happening when I turn the car off, wasn't happening while the car was running.
