I'm sorry I still haven't had time to go check it out, i'm still at work. But do you think that 'leak' could be whats causing the snake noise? or is that from a worn out dv? which I think would make sense... and the leak I found on the bottom of my car be from that loose hose?

take a look at all the "in line check valves" Ive had to replace 3 in my 2000 and they were causing me to have leaks and run funny as well

they are usually half grey and half black..located ontop of the airbox..there are two behind the engine (toward the firewall) vac lines...they are like $25 from the dealer

My DV does the same thing. Also, I must have some kind of leak also, just how you described. Sounds like its sucking air like crazy. It sounds like its mostly coming from the drivers side. Soley, how do you check the "check valves?" (no pun intended)

If it only happens when you let off the throtle or when idleing, its got to be a vac leak.

well the only way to check your vac line system is to perform a test with a air compressor..search the diy sections b/c Ive never actually done it

I replaced most of the vac lines myself (not a big deal) and I would notice the car perform better..about the check valves if they look worn or if you can see visually pieces missing or holes then replace them b/c they are probably leaking

ok... so got home today and saw that where I park my car in the garage there is a wet spot there still. I looked around and can't find anything!!!! I tried to 'smell' the liquid on the floor and it doesn't have any smell, so its not oil... and my coolant level looks ok. The only thing that makes me wonder is that it seems like only a certain amount comes out, when I park it. Could this be a fluid that is in the pipe/tube that drains out, but when i turn the car off this tube stops sucking or whatever so thast why I haven't seen a huge puddle or something horrible wrong? Which brings me to my next question of what liquid/tube could do that?
