Hey Bentframe, Yakima says the 38" fairing is the best fit on our cars, i run the 38" as well, works great. If i've got skis on the roof w/ out the fairing, the wind will try to lift the sunroof up a little at about 75 mph, and make a lot of noise.
To Steven - As far as price - w/ the fairing, 6 pack lock cores, BigpowderhoundSE, the retail is $435, it would run about $275 and i'll check on shipping.

Did you get the grill bentframe?

There are different racks that fit on the B5's, I've used the Yakima system for years and I love it. It's fits great and stuff.

Price on rack- $275 plus shipping. It'll be about $25 for shippping.

yup, just got it last night ...thanks again! i'm actually prepping it for paint right now.

for the fairing, do you think a thule fairing would fit on a yakima rack? the thule fairings are much taller and extend all the way out to the windshield, but yakima racks are fairly small and leave a good 6-7" gap between it and the windshield. i think i might just buy a thule fairing and see if it fits...i can always return it if it doesn't

I think the thule fairing should fit. Just check it out and see. Thule uses a rectangle bar, where Yakima uses a round bar. I'm sure you can figure out something to get it to work.
