Snub-mounts????
Considering getting snub mounts [for the front engine mount] and a performance air filter for my 98 a42.8Q manual trans., as my first micro upgrade. Any opinions? Anybody know if they make a difference??
i got an apr snub mount on my 1.8t it vibe a little bit when i first got it put on but after it beded it self in no more vibes other then that didn't really notice much but i had the timeing belt lightweigh under drive pulley and head gasket all done at the same time as the snub mount
I have a PureMS snub sitting in my car right now... me and a friend are going to attempt to put it on next weekend so we'll see how it goes!
I've read from a lot of people that it really tightens up the transmission. I wouldn't spend $50 to get the APR snub, but the $20 purems snub seems reasonable to me.

I have the APR one... slight vibration, it's a worthwhile investment. It's a fairly big job to do on a b5... at least I think it would be (I did it when I was doing the timing belt, so it was all apart anyways).
B6's though, it is much easier.
You definately notice an improvment, though... makes me want the drive train stabilizer sooo badly.
