so the clutch is about to be replaced but my mechanic..
You cant machine the flywheel to remove deep gouges in the flywheel casued by metal to metal contact. You can however use an abrasive disk to scouf up the surface. It helps the new clutch break in and can remove any glazing due to overheating.
The best way to remove the trans is without disconnecting the hydraulics to eliminate bleed issues. Just remove the entire slave cylinder from the trans.

You know I tired that but I I couldn't get it out. Once I unbolted it, it was loose but seemed like it was caught on something... and my crappy Hanes manual said to disconnect the line....
