I ran mine through the hood latch grommet too, the only trouble with that was when I tried to wash my car for the first time, water was leaking all inside. I ended up sealing it off with a bunch of silicon.

i second that completly!!!! i sealed mine and i still endedup getting water through AHHHHH! hopefully mines all properly sealed now. i took the grommet out becuase i have like 5 wires running through it.

open the hood, look towards the right fender, see that cable running back from the hood latch, follow that back to the firewall... proceed with further directions
