Have a 2003 A4, quattro, about 28k miles, brakes are incredibly squeaky. Took it to the dealer to have them fix it, all they did was clean them and a day later they were just as noisy. Audi USA tells me the only thing I can do is use a power washer to clean them. I have an extended warranty and want to have them replace the brakes but they say they can't until they are worn down to replacement levels.
Any hints or ways to cure these annoying things?

 

Remove the brake pads and use an abrasive to lightly scuff the suface of the pad and then round over the edges of brake pads. Power tools will make short work of this chore.
