Default Squeaky Rear Seats Anyone???

Anyone have squeaky rear seats, like when you hit a pothole, or go over a rough area in the road? I went outside to take a look at the back seats, and the bolts to remove them are way down under the seat. Very tight spot.

If anyone has had this problem, mabey shed some light as to how you fixed it?

The funny part is the same thing happens to my car.... and I have the same car... It only really squeaks when its only myself driving- but its annoying! (no I haven't gotten the ambition to try and fix it yet)

Yea, whenever I have passangers back there, it dosn't do it. If I'm by myself, I usually just turn the music up loud. But sometimes, it's just annoying...

I have the same thing. I'm pretty sure it's the ski sack frame on mine thats loose. I'm going to rip it out on the weekend and see if it stops.

You may want to try lubing the latch and latch rod for the rear seats first.

Try lifting your rear seat up. I had the same problem and found that the 2 metal clips that insert into 2 slots on the body were what was causing the squeak. I just used electrical tape around the two clips. No more squeak.

yup.

when i had my fuel pump replaced, the back seats need to come up to access the fuel pump. they never locked the seats back in place, so ever since the dealership worked on it, the seats have been squeaking.

actually, i am bringing my car back to the dealership tomorrow. the fuel pump appears to have gone again. it's making the same noise as when i originally brought it in. either they only temporarily fixed it, or they gave me a defective part. i don't know, but it's kind of annoying to have to be bringing my car in again for the same problem.

this time, i will make sure they fix the problem, and the seats, before i take it back.
