Default Passenger Rear Squeaky Seat!

Hello everyone! I just recently bought an 03 A4 Avant 1.8T with the sport package. I love the car....it is beautiful, and certainly a lot more comfortable than my previous ride. The interior is beautiful, built well....except for, that rear seat! The rear passenger seat has this 'jiggily' sounding squeak whenever I hit a bump. I've read every post I can find on the subject, and none of the solutions have worked thus far - I've taped the metal hooks, padded, and removed the seat bottom trying to narrow down the source. None of those attempts did anything. Whenever I unlatch the seat back to fold it down, the squeak goes away, or if there is a passenger in the seat. So, this tells me it is probably the latch mechanism. So far I have lubed the post and latch in the seat with lithium grease. I 'think' the squeak is a little better, but no less there and extremely annoying. Any good solutions out there?

I just tried to adjust the latch mechanism and see if I could better/tighter engagement between the post and the seat latch, but still....squeaky creaky it is. This is driving me crazy!!! Someone has to have dealt with this?

grab your girl and do the dirty in the back seat. If you hear squeeks remove the seat. If not either you are weak sauce (and your lady is prbably cheating on you when you are at work) or its something else. Keep in mind I am no mechinic but it is a good reason to get your girl in the backseat. "honey can you do me a favor. I keep hearing this squeek from the backseat. Lets get back and bump around a little bit and see where its coming from cuz its driving me crazy" In the event that you do not have a girl, a trip to the bar and some roofies will do the trick

Epic post. Hahaha. I'm having the same squeaking problem, so I'll give this a shot and see how it goes.
