still having the problem
I got a p422 code stored in there.. I dont tthink its limp mode becasue i still get 20psi.. im going to go do the feul filter.. i know the code is for my cat and that has been there for a while
it seams to only studder and stumble in low rpm's, more so right when I hit the gas, and it dose not do this all the time, its very intermitant, I cleaned the MAF and i also changed the fuel filter (which was really bad) still have the problem.. where is the knock sensor on our cars i read somewhere if its not tight it may not fungtion properly.. any other clues as to what my problem might be..
It could be your maf man... sometimes cleaning it does nothing. Your cat might be dead/clogged too. This sounds sort of shady, but there is an honest way of going about it... try this just to rule the maf out: get a ride to a dealership, test drive an a4 that uses the same maf as yours (same yr/engine code) and take it home and swap maf's and see what happens. Then swap back and return the car. Spending $100+ on a new maf on the off chance that it is the problem is hard to justify for some people just for troubleshooting. of course if it does fix the problem it may be hard for you to swap back your bad one but if you are a remotely honest person you wouldnt do that, and i wouldnt recomend it.
well i can tell you one thing, its not my cat.. because i dont have one anymore..lol.. yea i might just have to bite the bullet on this one and buy a new MAF, what else could it be though.. its so intermitant it drives me crazy..
