Default Still no love.

Ok, SO I changed my water pump. Cams got moved. Car does not start.

Now ... I know I am kinda screwded since I dont have them marked. Any tricks u guys know of?


any help would be great.

A. Aquire the proper tools

B. Take it to a shop to finish.


I don't see that you really have any choice. I would opt for B before you trash your engine.

They told me they put it on some kind of machine. To reset timeing belt.

True?

ehhh don't know about that, Normally you just put in the crank holder and mount the bar to secure the two cams. Then you put on the belt. Not much to it. Don't know about this "machine". The holders i'm talking about are Audi shop tools.

Yes, they are expensive though. Like 150 bucks.

Well they are easy to sell on ebay or the 12valve forum on audiworld. I'm sure he would only loose like 20 bucks or so.
