stock clutch questions

Default stock clutch questions

when i start my car it has to be pushed in all the way to start, but when i put it in gear i have to bring the pedal way up and engages pretty high up. can it be adjusted at all?
is this normal for a stock clutch?

That seems to be where all the Audi clutches release points are.

Its weird but normal for Audis. All of ours are the same way. Just the way the hydraulic clutch is set up. Mechanical clutches tend to have a much lower grab point.

What is the mileage? I had the same problem and it wasmy stock clutch wearing out. Try skipping gear by going 2nd to 4th and see how well it grips. If it takes a while to increase speed, good sign of clutch wearing out.

Just go for the performance clutch. THats where its at.
