strange engine temp problem
so this is basically how it goes... if i let the car sit and idle it heats up to proper running temp, needle straight up and down, then i drive it, the temp drops to like two tics above nothing, then i let it sit and run and it goes back up... heat all works normally, car runs good, oil temp gauge moves a little bit, and the turbo glows after normal driving... whats up with this thing? and is it a problem?
Probably not a problem First off the turbo always glows, second it sounds like the radiator is just doing its job, the flowing air while driving cools the air more so the temp drops off
na, once it's heated up to running temp the needle should stay pretty much at dead center...you probably have a failing coolant temp sensor...ecs sells them for either 7 or 13 bucks, depending on which one you need (there's a green one or a blue one iirc)
