Default Car act's strange when it's at a certain temp.

I first noticed this a while back when i was stuck in traffic and the car was running hot the car start's out of no where stuttering and rpm's would jump up and by it's self when i had the brake pedal off and it would actuality accelerate it self which was kinda worrying and also the brake's would get very stiff this I dont kno if it has something to do with this but some thought's would be highly appreciated this really has me stumped...thanks guy's.

Did the car shut off or almost shut off? What motor is it?

Vacuum leak? Could reduce braking, and cause jerkiness. Do you have a boost gauge?

Check out a thread that I posted called "car dieing." See if your suction pump happened to disconnect.

I have a 1.8T quattro triptronic engine code AWM and no it never wanted to shut off if would just bounce the rpms and it would never go below its normal range of 900rpms and I doubt it a hose of some sort because or else it would do it all the time and yes I have a boost guage and it would act normally and I doubt its also the pump cuz once again the car only acte like this when it gets very hot.

01 B5 quattro triptronic AWM here also, the only time mine has done this studdering and had the rpm needle jump, was because there was a bad coil pack, had them replaced for free at my local audi stealership for free,Audina was covered over the coil pack recall. Watch the video i made, back when it happend to my 01 B5,below.

I don't have this problem anymore, since all my coail packs have been replaced, just in case some members watch this video, may think i am asking for help, just trying to help trouble shoot MiamiGuy's issue.
